Anyone can print “99% pure” on a label. The question a serious researcher actually asks is simpler and harder: can I see the data? A purity figure with no independent certificate behind it is marketing. A purity figure attached to a lot-specific certificate of analysis from an outside lab is evidence.

A COA is not a badge — it’s a record. It names the compound and its lot, states the analytical method, and reports the measured purity. If any of those are missing, there is nothing to verify. Ours include all of it, from an independent lab, for the specific lot in the vial.

It means the testing is done by an independent laboratory that isn’t the seller. That lab confirms the compound’s identity and measures its purity, then issues a certificate of analysis. Because the lab has no stake in the sale, the result is an impartial record of what’s really in the vial.
The compound name and declared identity, the lot number, the analytical method (HPLC for purity, mass spec for identity), the measured purity as a percentage, the measured quantity against what was declared, the test date, and the lab that ran it. If a seller shows a purity number with none of that attached, there is nothing to check.
